In the summer, Snoqualmie Pass experiences closures and delays from construction, rock blasting, maintenance activities and to clear accidents.
In the winter, Snoqualmie Pass experiences closures and delays from the weather, avalanches, avalanche control work, to clear accidents and to remove snow and ice.

Projected Timeline for this phase of the I-90 construction: Summer of 2022 into the Fall of 2028
During construction in 2022, eastbound traffic be diverted along the detour route. Minor delays are expected.
Phase 4 Construction – I-90 Snoqualmie Pass Eastbound – Stampede Pass Interchange to Cabin Creek Interchange
Phase 4 is part of a 15-mile corridor improvement project to increase safety and reliability and reduce congestion along I-90 from Hyak to the Easton vicinity.
